Blog 2: Why did I choose this career?

Hi peopleeee! 

How are you todaaaaaaay?

When I was child, I wanted to be a police (yes, part of the Carabineros de Chile), because they inspired me confidence and respect, they looked so ordered and disciplined. What were you thinking, nicole?, with the time, i really understood that their organization is fraud, patriarchal and very boring. 

Later, i wanted to be a singer, like a dream of all the girls at some point (or the majority, dah), this dream maybe is present until now. I also wanted to be an astronaut, but nobody believed to be true u_u. 

When I was in the school I never knew what my vocation was. For my marks and my total humanist side, studying law was a good idea, I will be a successful woman and have money, but really this did not represent me, that sounded boring too. 

Fortunately, in the last year of high school, I met the social worker from my school and she showed me the world of social work and it called my attention because this discipline has a lot of things and knowledge: politic, psychology, laws, each other’s things. Later, I found out that my mother had also studied social welfare. But actually, I study social work because I like nothing else :/, and until now, i don't know if it was a correct decision. Thus, you will understand that there were no other options, I filled in the inscription with philosophy, political science, etc, but I knew I would be a student of social work in the UCH (I mean that i got the score and it was my first choice).

Until now, the experience in university has been good, i guess, but hard too, much more strict, much less compassion, many texts to read. It's good because no one say to you what you have to do, but it's hard because no one say to you what you have to do, paradoxically (yes, like the meme). Although, I think it was necessary to change environment of school and its bubble, but I don't like neither the university. Actually, is other bubble of false revolution.

I want to work in public politics (like in Ministry of Social Development) or in intervention with young drug addicts or i don't know, there is a lot to work on in this country...
